Show Me the Evidence: The Science of Ufology

Come hear the evidence presented by the internationally renown physicist and UFO lecturer Stanton Friedman. His presentation, "Flying Saucers: and Science" will be joined by the rocket engineer and UFO evidence researcher, Ted Phillips. Also speaking will be author and Roswell expert, Donald Schmitt and the Illinois MUFON Director and UFO researcher, Sam Maranto. You've seen them on TV, now hear and meet them in person in an exciting and educational afternoon of discussions about alien visitation. A question and answer period will be open to all attendees after the formal presentations.

Stanton Friedman

Nuclear Physicist-Lecturer Stanton T. Friedman was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist by such companies as GE,GM, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell-Douglas. He has lectured about UFOs at more than 600 colleges and 100 professional groups in 50 U.S. states, 9 Canadian provinces and 16 other countries in addition to various consulting efforts.. He has published more than 80 UFO papers and has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs including on Larry King in 2007 and 2008. He is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident and co-authored Crash at Corona: The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident and TOP SECRET/MAJIC his controversial book about the Majestic 12 group. His new book Flying Saucers and Science was published in June 2008.

Ted Phillips

Ted R. Phillips, Director of the Center for Physical Trace Research, is also a Research Associate for CUFOS and on the MUFON Staff for Physical Traces. He was a field engineer for the Minuteman Missile Project and an engineering inspector. Ted worked very closely with Dr. J. Allen Hynek and began specialized research into UFO physical evidence. He has personally investigated or has been directly involved with some 600 landing events to date. He has also been a participant at presentations by CUFOS, NBC News, CBS News, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics UFO Subcommittee and has been in meetings with the Secretary-General of the United Nations regarding UFOs. He is author of Physical traces Associated with UFO Sightings, published by CUFOS in 1975.

Donald Schmitt

Donald Schmitt is co-author of two best-selling books, UFO Crash at Roswell and The Truth About the UFO Crash at Roswell. His research into the best known UFO crash incident in history and the consequent coverup has created controversial theories in many circles. A well-received UFO lecturer, Don has graced the previous two Illinois MUFON symposiums with his excellent presentations and will leave attendees pondering over the facts.

Sam Maranto

Sam Maranto, State Director for Illinois MUFON, is a local UFO researcher who's investigation into the Tinley Park lights has been featured in numerous TV specials and reports including NBC's Dateline in asegment called "Best UFO Photographic Evidence", the History Channel's "UFO Hunters", and the Discovery Channel. His frequent appearances and lectures are a crowd pleaser and he has provided previous symposium attendees with insight into UFO research and investigation.
